Therapeutic Modalities
Therapeutic modalities are non-surgical treatments designed to enhance your chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue therapies. These methods provide additional comfort and support in your journey to full recovery. They include techniques like ice packs/ hot packs and electrical stimulation, percussive massage tools, etc.
Erchonia Laser Therapy

An Erchonia cold laser is a low-level laser therapy device used for pain relief, inflammation reduction, and accelerated healing. It emits low-intensity light that penetrates tissues without generating heat, promoting cellular repair and regeneration. This non-invasive treatment is commonly used in physical therapy, sports medicine, and chiropractic care to treat various musculoskeletal conditions.
Erchonia Corporation, the global leader in low level laser healthcare applications was the first to receive FDA market clearance for the treatment of chronic pain, proven through two double blind IRB studies.
Temperature Therapy: Ice/heat

Ice packs are used to decrease inflammation. An important thing to remember, when applying ice, limit the time to 20 minutes per hour and do not put the ice pack directly on the skin.
Heat packs are only used to relax tissues before an adjustment. It is important not to heat if you have an injury. It may feel better at the moment, but later increases the inflammation and reduce the healing process.
Interferential Current

Interferential current therapy works by sending small amounts of electrical stimulation to damaged tissues in the body. The therapy is meant to boost the body’s natural process for responding to pain, increase blood flow, and the production of hormones that promote healing.
Ultrasound

Ultrasound is a therapeutic method that uses sound waves that cause microscopic vibrations in deep tissue molecules, increasing heat and friction. The warming effect encourages healing in soft tissues by increasing metabolism at the cellular level. It is also thought to increase cellular function by making microscopic gas bubbles near your injury expand and contract rapidly. This expansion and contraction are thought to speed up the healing process in your injured body part. It’s used to detect and treat a wide array of musculoskeletal issues including pain, tissue injury, and muscle spasms.
Percussive Massage Treatment

Massage percussive instruments enhance chiropractic treatment by relaxing tight muscles, reducing pain, and improving blood flow. They increase range of motion, expedite recovery, and lower stress, making chiropractic adjustments easier and more effective. This combination promotes faster healing of soft tissues, reduces inflammation, and improves overall patient well-being, enhancing the benefits of chiropractic care.
Doctor Assisted Stretch Therapy

Assisted stretch therapy involves a trained therapist guiding and stretching your muscles to improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and enhance overall mobility. Unlike self-stretching, this therapy allows for deeper, more controlled stretches, targeting specific muscle groups and improving range of motion, often resulting in better posture and reduced pain.
