Functional Neurology

Neurotechnology

How is it different?

Functional Neurology, also known as chiropractic neurology, focuses on optimizing how your brain and body communicate by stimulating receptors located throughout the body. These receptors include the five primary senses—light, sound, taste, touch, and smell—as well as specialized systems such as balance and movement, inner ear function, digestion, and autonomic and cognitive processes. These receptors constantly send signals between your environment and nervous system, allowing your brain to receive, process, and respond appropriately.

When this communication is disrupted, symptoms can appear in many different ways.

Do you feel dizzy when turning your head?

Experience pain with movement in your neck or shoulders?

Struggle with depression and anxiety?

Feeling like in a "Fog"?

These symptoms may be linked to underlying neurological dysfunction, including inner ear imbalances, inflammation, vagus nerve dysregulation, or hemispheric brain dysfunction.

At Cortex Chiropractic, we use advanced Functional Neurology assessments to identify the root cause of your symptoms—not just treat the surface. Our goal is to restore proper brain-body communication so your system can function efficiently and naturally.

These are just a few of the conditions we address. If you’re experiencing symptoms that aren’t improving or want a more targeted, drug-free approach, we’re here to help. Contact our office today to learn how Functional Neurology can support your health and recovery.

What is it?

Functional Neurology enhances and restores the connection between your brain and body with cutting-edge, non-invasive, and drug-free therapies designed to support optimal neurological function. At Cortex Chiropractic, our Functional Neurology approach is backed by clinical evidence and has consistently helped patients improve a wide range of conditions.

Functional Neurology care is effective for individuals of all ages, especially those experiencing concussions, migraines, dizziness, vertigo, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), ataxia, insomnia, and other neurological challenges. Our personalized treatment plans may include targeted nerve stimulation, hand-eye coordination training, balance and movement therapies, brain-based adjustments and precise eye and head exercises—all designed to correct abnormal neurological patterns and enhance overall performance.

As neurological function improves and stabilizes, patients often experience noticeable relief and better quality of life. Functional Neurology is rooted in a deep understanding of the brain, autonomic systems, spinal cord, and nervous system, allowing us to address the underlying causes of dysfunction and help your body move, adapt, and heal more efficiently.
